If it was about me, I would not still be doing this thing called Private Practice Success after 6 years of criticism for being the first ever Psychologist to publicly advocate for private practice owners to start running their practice like an actual business and God forbid make some money in the process…

If it was about me, I would not be able to withstand the covert and overt online trolling, the threatening messages and the hate emails for speaking my truth, as

I advocate for a private practice industry where the practice owner can build a sustainable business that won’t burn them out, destroy their marriage, put them into financial bankruptcy or wreak havoc with their mental health (it happens, way more than you know).

If it was about me, I would not be able to withstand the many comments on my Facebook and LinkedIN posts and blogs that implies and outright states that I must be a terrible practice owner to work for, just because I demand a certain level of humility and respect from my team.

If it was about me, I would not be able to process the hurt from being portrayed as someone who does not appreciate new grads or clinical team in general just because I choose to be the voice (the first and probably the loudest and most passionately honest voice) to speak and advocate for the practice owner.

Yes, the clinical team is freaking important but guess what…?
No practice owner = no practice!
So I am proud to be the one that gives practice owners the voice they deserve, even if it opens the door for others to attack me as a human.

Yes, I know I choose this. Yes, I know that being visible, especially in an industry used to hiding behind closed doors, that I should expect this type of treatment. And no, this is not a poor me post, because I am not a victim – I’m an advocate.
This is me stating that ‘it is not (and has never been) about me’.

It is about my message – THE message.
The message that it is ok to ditch the shame of running a profitable private practice.
The message that you do not have to be a slave to your practice.
The message that it is ok to have time freedom.
The message that it is ok to have money freedom.
The message that it is ok to scale your impact to a level you never thought possible.

Here’s to building a private practice you can’t stop smiling about,

Would you like to spend 2 hours with me uncovering what you don’t know when it comes to running and growing your private practice….?
